The kit will contain a well, specific anti venom antibodies (Biosensors) concentrated liquids with special additives, an electronic sensor, microchip and a LCD screen to display the output. Production of biosensors involves extraction of protein compounds from snake venom, anti-serum rising in suitable test organisms, B-cell isolation followed by fusion with cancer cells using hybridoma technology for the production of monoclonal antibodies, gene isolation of the hybrid cells, expression in a suitable host organism, downstream process and purification of biosensors. Underlying principle of this kit would be, specific antigen-antibody binding (Binding of specific proteins of snake venom present in the clinical specimen with anti-venom antibodies in the liquid). The kit will have the ability to detect the envenoming of seven venomous snakes by showing characteristic signal specific to each venomous snake.
By
the use of a LED (Light Emitting Diode) we could get a range of rays and that
would decide the amount of absorbed rays depending on the color change by the kit
according to the reaction between antibody solution and venom, which is used to
identify the venom kind. Depending on the reaction between the antibody kit and
venom, absorption rate would differ. There after a Photo Diode will be used to
sense and measure the amount of rays which emitted and absorbed by the
solution, depending on the amount of rays which is absorbed by the Photo Diode,
voltage will be induced. Depending on the voltage level device will indicate
whether the patient has undergone envenoming or not. By using Amplification unit and Analog to
Digital Converter the induced analog voltage will be converted into the Digital
signal and get increased.
Depending
on the color change, a small voltage will be induced and will get transferred
into computer. A software application should be designed to the computer to
receive the measured voltage from the device and a Database also should be
designed to store the snake venom type with voltage range accordingly. So that
when the voltage is been measured from the device according to the rays, it
will be compared to the data’s in the database. Then with all the data’s and
comparisons the device would ultimately find out the snake type and the name.
This output will be displayed in a computer, so that the operator can easily
identify the venom type.
